Associate
Qualifications:
BS
level or equivalent education in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or
genetics. Any experience in a high throughput research
environment, work with bacterial plasmids, genetics, or experience
in doing research in industry a plus.
Job Description:
We
are building a research team and are looking for an associate to
perform routine laboratory tasks. These tasks are appropriate
for molecular biology research and development and include making
solutions, gel electrophoresis and plasmid purification as well as
DNA sequencing. This entry level job will allow the applicant
to develop as a scientist with potential for performing complete
experiments and participation in planning research activities.
The employee will be expected to perform routine calculations
involving aqueous solutions and be able to effectively communicate
their laboratory results.
Life Technologies Business Unit:
Our
company is developing innovative automated systems for DNA template
preparation, and we plan to develop additional novel technologies
for high throughput laboratory automation. Our focus is on
combining our twin strengths in molecular biology and in automation
engineering to create and market new products. DTI is a

extensive experience in automated manufacture of complex products.

You
