Announcing the NeXPrep DNA Purification Kit

The DeWalch NeXprep was designed to simplify the task of purifying plasmid DNA from Bacterial clones. The prep significantly reduces the time and the cost of plasmid preps, while greatly reducing the plastic and other wastes generated in the purification process.

The process eliminates messy culture transfers, supernant transfers or the confusion of multiple filter plates.  The silica purified DNA is a superb substrate for capillary sequencing.  There are no precipitation steps.

How to purify DNA Using The NeXprep

  • DNA purification starts with growing the bacterial clones in the 96 well NeXplate.  The user supplies their growth media of choice.

  •   The cells are harvested and the supernatant discarded.

  • Cells are resuspended in the one-step lysis buffer and the plate is pierced.  Piercing converts the NeXplate from a growth block into an array of 96 purification columns

  • The Nexplate is placed on the DeWalch Vacuum manifold and  washed three times

  • The nexplate is dried and fitted to a collection plate

  • Purified water is used to elute the DNA, ready for sequencing or gel analysis

The Kit Protocol describes in detail the steps used for the purifying DNA using the NeXprep system

The kit may be processed using the piercers and vacuum manifolds manufactured by DeWalch Life Technologies.
